Microsoft Teams is back to normal after the outage


A 27 (Reuters) - Teams services were restored on Saturday after an outage on Microsoft's ( MSFT.O ), messaging platform, Opens a New Tab.


"After extended monitoring and mitigation efforts, we have confirmed that our Microsoft Teams services and features have been restored or returned to optimal health," Microsoft said in its post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Several users on Friday identified issues with the messaging platform. Complaints peaked in the afternoon with more than 14,000 incidents, according to the outage tracking website Downdetector.com. All incidents seem to have been resolved on Saturday.


The company previously said it had identified a networking issue affecting a portion of the Teams service and said it was performing a failover.


Microsoft Teams, widely used by professionals for online meetings, chats, and file sharing, is part of the company's popular 365 software suite.
