The Google Pixel Watch 3 will be available in two different case sizes

According to a new report, the Google Pixel Watch 3 may launch in two different size variants. So far, Google has launched its smartwatches in a single-size variant of 41mm diameter, unlike Apple and Samsung. Apple Watch Series 9 and Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 are available in two different sizes. Now, the search giant is also reportedly working on bringing an additional Pixel Watch 3 variant with a larger case size. This development, if true, would address a long-standing user complaint and enable the Pixel Watch 3 to better compete in the market.

A report by 9to5Google states that two different-sized variants of the Google Pixel Watch 3 are currently in development. Don't expect much difference in the specifications of the two variants, but the bigger model might get a bigger display and a bigger battery.

The report highlighted that the lack of watch size options was a major complaint among Google Pixel Watch and Pixel Watch 2 users as many users prefer a larger watch. If this report is true, then it appears that Google has finally decided to fix the Google Pixel Watch 3's size issue.

At this point, details around the size are not known. It is expected that Google will keep its 41mm Pixel Watch smartwatch variant that already has familiarity and user affinity and introduces a larger variant as well. The Apple Watch Series 9, for example, is available in two size variants of 41mm and 45mm, while the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 can be bought in 40mm or 44mm variants.

It's also not known if a bigger Pixel Watch 3 watch means a bigger display or bigger bezels, though the latter won't address some of the user concerns regarding better visibility and easier interaction with the smartwatch.

Earlier, a report suggested that the Google Pixel Watch 3 could be buttonless with the debut of a new sensor technology. It allows users to fully control the smartwatch with gestures like tap, long press, pinch, and swipe. Whether this will lead to the removal of the crown, is something that is currently unknown.
